Payments

Attorney-controlled payouts are central to trust.

Attorneys need to know Scale is not asking to control their funds. Legal fees and platform payouts should remain tied to attorney-owned accounts unless a written, compliant arrangement states otherwise.

Payment controls

Attorney-Owned Payouts

The attorney should connect their own bank or approved receiving account where platform rules permit.

Separate Scale Fee

Scale's administrative and marketing fee is handled under the agreement after Scale-sourced revenue is received.

Trust Accounting Remains Attorney Duty

The attorney remains responsible for client funds, trust accounting, tax treatment, refunds, chargebacks, and professional rules.

What cautious attorneys should hear

Your own account. Your own payout method where accepted. Your own clients. Your own conflict check. Your own final legal sign-off. Scale is paid separately for support under the agreement.
